As a former employee of Microware Systems Corporation, I fully support and endorse the OS-9 Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) which is used in a wide variety of embedded applications such as cellular telephone, digital set-top boxes, radar systems, sound mixing devices, partical accelerators, global positioning satellite systems, electronic 2-way pagers, and lots of other cool stuff.
There really is a lot of good information on OS-9 on the web, but it can be rather difficult to locate and sort through.
